
While those in more northerly climes may anticipate with some dread the onset of winter’s cold, we here have the opposite concern (even if we love our summer vacations). Texas heat is protracted, physically taxing, and sometimes downright dangerous. Climate change in this urban heat island exacerbates the situation.
